Mir Interstate TV and Radio Company was established in 1992 to cover the political, economic and humanitarian cooperation of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, to create a common knowledge space and to promote international information exchange.

Founding partners of the company: Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan and Republic of Uzbekistan.

The building, which houses the headquarters of MTRK Mir, is in the shape of a pentagon. It is located on Krasnobogatyrskaya Street in Moscow.
